Depression is a downward spiral,
feeding the upward spiral is the way out.
All my life I felt like I was being sucked into a deep dark downward spiral. Events in my childhood left me traumatized and in survival mode, leading to a downward spiral of depression and anxiety.
Throughout the years of incredibly hard work that I have done to heal myself I have learned that the traumas I experienced manifested in my body in the way they did because they changed my brain wiring and left energetic damage.
I have been on my healing journey now for years and most of that time I felt like I was stuck, spinning out of control, going in circles, or going down even deeper into the spiral.
In the past several months I have begun to notice HUGE shifts happening in me. I can tell that all the work I have been doing all these years to rewire my brain and feel safe in my body is working.
I remember waking up one day and feeling like for the first time ever I could take a full deep breath. Like finally some of the weight I had been carrying all my life was lifting.
Now everyday I try to focus on the small things I can do to feed my upward spiral.
